泰国在印度尼西亚的大使馆
大使馆是一国在建交国首都派驻的常设外交代表机关。大使馆代表整个国家的利益，全面负责两国关系，馆长一般是大使，也可以是公使或者其他等级的由派遣国委派的外交人员，由国家元首任命并作为国家元首的代表履行职责。大使馆的首要职责是代表派遣国，促进两国的政治关系，其次是促进经济、文化、教育、科技、军事等方面的关系，使馆同时具有领事职能。促进两国关系和人民间的往来是领事馆的重要职责，但其最主要的职责是领事工作，比如：维护本国公民合法人在外国的的合法权益，向本国公民颁发或延期护照、向外国公民颁发签证。

印度尼西亚和泰国的关系

Indonesia and Thailand officially established diplomatic ties on March 7, 1950. The two countries have since enjoyed a cordial bilateral relationship. Both countries has established embassies in each capitals, Indonesia has their embassy in Bangkok and consulate in Songkhla, while Thailand has their embassy in Jakarta. High rank stately visits has been conducted for years. Both nations are the founders of ASEAN and the members of Non-Aligned Movement and APEC. Indonesia and Thailand are viewed as natural ally. Indonesia is also appointed as observer in Cambodian–Thai border dispute.

Following the military takeover of the government in Thailand in May 2014 — without intending to interfere in the internal affairs of Thailand — as part of the ASEAN Community, Indonesia calls for restoration of democracy in Thailand.
